The Best M&M Cookies
🍪 Classic M&M Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups M&M's (plus extra for topping)
(Optional) 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix just until combined.
Fold in the M&M's (and chocolate chips, if using).
Scoop dough (about 2 tablespoons per cookie) onto baking sheets. Press a few extra M&M's on top of each ball of dough for a bakery-style look.
Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are just lightly golden. The centers will look soft — that’s perfect!
Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
🔁 Tips:
For softer cookies, don’t overbake.
You can chill the dough for 30 minutes if you want thicker cookies.
